Greece

Hellenic Post ELTA (Greece) has informed that the Confederation of the Greek workers has announced a 24-hour strike on Wednesday 2 October.
As result, the processing and delivery of International mail will be affected on strike day and immediately after, due to a possible backlog from the strike with delivery delays expected.
Hong Kong, China

The designated operator of Hong Kong, China, Hongkong Post, informs that a series of public events, resulting in blockage of the streets and transportation network of major areas of Hong Kong, China since 1st October 2019, is seriously affecting the processing and delivery of all inbound, outbound and local mail (letter post, parcels and EMS items).
The disruption is expected to continue for a number of days.
Japan

Tropical Storm Mitag approaches Japan: Media sources indicate on October 4 that Tropical Storm Mitag is now approaching Japan, bringing strong wings and heavy rainfall to the Hokuriku and Tohoku regions following its landfall in South Korea on Wednesday, October 3. Associated flooding and mudslides are expected to affect road traffic and cause widespread disruption.
Taiwan

Please be advised that Typhoon Mitag has hit parts of eastern and southeastern Taiwan today, which is continuing to move northwest. As a result, delivery delays are to be expected.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide further updates if there are any developments.
South Korea

End date: 30th September
The designated operator of Korea (Rep.), Korea Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that inward and outward mail operations, transportation and delivery are back to normal after Typhoon Ling Ling.
Thailand – update

Thailand Post informs other Union member countries and their designated operators that the flooding in the following postcode areas has subsided, and mail operations and deliveries of postal items have returned to normal: 32xxx, 35xxx, 37xxx, 40xxx, 45xxx, 64xxx, 65xxx, 66xxx and 67xxx.
The following postcode areas are still currently affected by the flooding, which may cause delays in mail operations and delivery of postal items (letter post, parcel post and EMS): 25110, 73190 and 34190.
