Italy

The designated operator of French Polynesia, the Office of Posts and Telecommunications, informs that the strike ended across all of French Polynesia on Thursday, 11 July 2019.
North Macedonia

New customs system delays clearance: Industry sources reported that there have been significant customs clearance delays in North Macedonia due to the recent implementation of a new system in July. Average clearance times of 5-7 days have been reported for all types of imports.
Sri Lanka

Postal workers go on nationwide strike: postal workers associated with the Sri Lanka Services Union have embarked on a 48-hour nationwide strike from 4 pm local time July 16. Disruption to postal sevices and following delays are likely to occur.
Philippines

Tropical Storm Falcon makes landfall:Â Tropical Storm Falcon/Danas has landed in the early morning of July 17 in the Cagayan province in the Philippines. Flooding due to heavy rainfall has affected road traffic and led to a high risk of landslides. In addition, several flights at Manila International Airport have been cancelled since July 16, with possible further delays throughout the week.
Republic of the Congo

Postal workers begin strike:Â workers with the Congolese Posts and Savings Company in the Republic of the Congo began an indefinite strike to demand the payment of unpaid salaries for April, May and June 2019. Expect associated disruptions to postal services.
Japan

Heavy rain disrupts air traffic: Japan Airlines has issued a notice regarding possible disruption at multiple airports on July 18 due to adverse weather, including at Kushiro, Obihiro, Sapporo New Chitose, Misawa, Sendai, Nanki-Shirahama, Tajima, Izumo, Tokushima, Kochi, Takamatsu, Oita, Tanegashima and Yakushima airports.
Mexico

The  designated  operator  of  MEXICO,  Correos  de México, wishes  to inform the designated operators  of  other  Union  member  countries of new measures to strengthen import controls, in accordance with article 19 of the UPU Convention  and  article 3.7.1  of the  General Rules of Foreign  Trade  of Mexico. These  measures prohibit  items in powder form, pharmaceutical products  (pills, troches,  tablets, granules,  capsules  and  lozenges),  and  whey or  serum proteins  of animal origin.  For a complete list of  prohibited  items, please consult
