Hong Kong

A public event which took place on Friday 21 June, has resulted in road blocks in major areas of Hong Kong, this in turn has caused delays to the processing & delivery of all mail services.
As a result, delivery delays are expected on all mail services for a few days.
United States

Severe weather affects airport operations: severe weather has disrupted operations at Baltimore-Washington International, Dallas Love Field and Dallas/Fort Worth International airports in the United States. Several flights were cancelled or delayed by up to 3 hours due to thunderstorms.
Afghanistan – update

Afghan Post informs other Union member countries and their designated operators that it has restarted its mail operations following the terrorist attack that struck its headquarters on Saturday, 13 April 2019.
The mail operation offices have been restored, and the IPS post system is again operational for all mail operations, meaning that exchanges of EDI messages with partners can resume.
Ukraine

The designated operator of UKRAINE, Stock Company Ukrposhta, would like  to inform the  designated  operators  of other UPU member countries  that, following changes in national  legislation, with effect from 1 July 2019, international postal  items sent to a private addressee in Ukraine in a single dispatch from a single sender containing goods up to a maximum value of 100 EUR will not be subject to customs  charges. For legal  entities or individual entrepreneurs, this tax-free limit is 150 EUR for goods sent in one dispatch  in international  postal  items  to  one  addressee  from  one sender.

Technical problems
Brazil

The designated operator of Brazil, Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that it is in the process of migrating to IPS 2018. Delays in the transmission of data may be experienced during this period (21 and 22 June 2019). Every effort is being made to minimize any potential problems.
Italy

End date: 23rd June
Poste Italiane informs that their IT team has completed the developments needed to upgrade its EDI messaging management for Parcel product.
In these days they are carrying out some internal tests to prepare the activities for the passage into production, scheduled for next June 22nd and 23rd 2019.
Therefore these activities could impact the correct transmission of EDI messaging (only concerning parcel product) during the above mentioned days.
