The EMS operator of Ukraine, the State Enterprise of Special Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that it is currently dealing with a backlog of EMS mail. This follows the recent embargo on cargo and mail imports at Boryspil International Airport (KBP) and the significant increase in volumes of incoming international mail following the lifting of that embargo.
Consequently, the processing and delivery of EMS items in Ukraine are currently taking longer than normal. The State Enterprise of Special Post is taking every possible measure to stabilize the situation.
South Korea
Start date: 16th January
Expected end date: 5th February
Due to a backlog at the sorting centre in South Korea, there are currently delays monitored. Expectations are that delays will remain until the end of the Lunar New Year (the 5th of February).
